R32 Refrigerants

How we approach each unique design challenge is what makes Daikin VRV Technology such a flexible solution for so many different applications as we create custom HVAC solutions here at AirReps.

With so many different types of HVAC systems available in today’s market, it can be challenging to select the right system for your application needs. Some equipment technologies are purpose-built and only available using certain heat transfer mediums, while others cannot reach today’s efficiency needs.

There are often many different variables to consider and different zoning strategies needed within a building, plus a variety of comfort levels a heating and cooling system must be able to accommodate.

Daikin VRV Systems have been around for many decades, originally invented in Japan in 1982—but you might be more familiar with the industry standard name, VRF.

AHU Retrofits

In this video, we will explore Air Handling Unit Retrofit options while working with AirReps.

With Washington State and much of the West Coast moving towards green initiatives with electrification and de-fossilization, there is an increase in the market for retrofit upgrades to existing air handling units.

With this information in mind, AirReps is well-positioned, poised, and prepared to continue in being on the leading edge of the electrification movement. With custom solutions from our partners at brands such as Nortek, RAE Coil, and Q-Pac, AirReps has everything you need for a retrofit opportunity.

Filtration Concepts

The quality of the air we breathe is one of the most important aspects of our health and well-being, especially when we spend most of our time in the office. We live in a world where the demands are getting higher for specialized filtration. Our atmosphere around the workplace may contain gaseous chemicals that make it critical for companies to use specialized filtration for more adequate indoor air quality (IAQ). In the years ahead, it will continue to be more important than ever before for large corporations and building owners to invest in the proper filtration solutions for their HVAC systems. Here at AirReps, we have a custom solution for every HVAC problem, filtration included.

Gas phase filtration helps remove the harmful gases in the air coming into your workplace. This applies to air coming into your facility, which brings in outside pollution, as well as the contaminants being released by the processes inside. Not only does gas phase filtration improve the IAQ, but it also allows you to eliminate odors and protects your equipment against corrosion that is harmful to the people within your building.

Rooftop HVAC Units: A Comprehensive Overview

At AirReps, we collaborate with multiple reputable manufacturers to curate the ideal RTU selections. Our partners include industry leaders such as Daikin, Nortek, and Mammoth. Each manufacturer offers a diverse lineup of rooftop units, tailored to specific tonnages and applications. The available RTU types include Gas Heat, Heat Pumps, and Electric Heat which we will go into more detail later. Rooftop HVAC Units, commonly referred to as RTUs, play a pivotal role in maintaining optimal indoor conditions across a diverse range of buildings.

These specialized HVAC units provide both heating and cooling services, making them indispensable for commercial spaces, educational institutions, restaurants, and shopping centers. RTUs come in various sizes, ranging from 1.5 to over 100 tons of cooling capacity. This adaptability allows them to cater to buildings of different heights, from single-story structures to those reaching eight stories. Whether it’s a cozy office or a crowded shopping mall, RTUs ensure a comfortable environment for occupants. RTUs condition indoor air by cooling, dehumidifying, or heating it. This meticulous air treatment ensures that occupants experience optimal comfort throughout the year.

Daikin VRV, Comfort Where It Matters

Controls

Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning – also known as HVAC – are systems that require control systems to make them function properly. A typical household furnace & air conditioning system relies on a thermostat to determine how long the furnace runs or how many stages of cooling are required to meet the temperature setpoint.

A typical residential thermostat might also control whether the furnace fan operates intermittently or continuously. Night setback scheduling is another feature provided by some programmable residential thermostats. While it may be simple within your home, control systems for commercial buildings are far more complex. As the size and complexity of commercial HVAC systems increase, the control systems must also increase in complexity.

Regardless of how complex a control system is, there are four necessary aspects of a control system; control setpoints, control sensor inputs, a comparison device, and control system outputs.

Air-to-Water & Water-to-Water Heat Pumps

Heat pumps are a vital part of the puzzle when it comes to creating impactful and effective HVAC systems for heating and cooling. AirReps understands that a reliable and innovative heat pump is imperative to keep facilities across the globe operating effectively.

Higher Amounts of Clean Outside Air

In the ever-changing and evolving world of HVAC, a few years can mean big changes. However, these last few years have brought about unprecedented changes, keeping the HVAC industry on its toes.

Ductless HVAC Systems

In many cases, updating older buildings with new HVAC and air conditioning systems is next to impossible, especially if there’s not enough space to install ductwork. Even in those buildings that do have the space, the cost for customers can be truly overwhelming. The solution to this HVAC problem on both ends is ductless heating and cooling units.
