Mark’s path into HVAC began with an interest in science and math that led him to the University of Washington, where he studied mechanical engineering. During college, he gained his first industry experience working as a Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) technician. After graduating, Mark spent five years as an HVAC engineer with a local design-build contractor before moving into HVAC system sales for large design-build mechanical contractors. In April 2011, he joined AirReps in technical equipment sales, drawn by the people and culture he had come to know through years of working alongside local reps and mechanical firms.

Today, Mark leads AirReps’ Data Centers and Mission Critical division, built from the ground up to support hyperscalers, colocation providers, and other data center developers. His mechanical engineering background and years of equipment experience give him a strong understanding of complex HVAC systems and system integration, from chillers and custom air handling units to complete cooling solutions. What continues to drive Mark is the opportunity to solve challenging problems, collaborate with great people, and develop creative solutions for clients.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys taking on home improvement projects and spending time in the air as a private pilot.
