AirReps Announces the Retirement of CEO Michael Hawkins

After more than three decades of remarkable leadership, Michael Hawkins, our CEO and long-time guiding force, has retired as of November 2025. Hawkins began his AirReps journey in 1993, joining what was then the small but ambitious Washington Air Reps. It didn’t take long for him to become an integral part of the company’s rapid growth and evolution.

In 2007, Hawkins became co-owner of the business he had helped shape for over a decade. Under his leadership, AirReps experienced significant growth and success. By 2009, the company had expanded to more than 30 employees and surpassed $50 million in annual revenue.

Hawkins’ influence only continued to deepen as he helped unify and strengthen AirReps offices across the Pacific Northwest. His forward-thinking approach and strategic vision made him a natural fit for President and CEO, roles in which he guided AirReps through some of the most transformative years in our history.

In 2020, Hawkins led one of the most pivotal moments for our organization: the acquisition of AirReps by Daikin North America. Through his steady leadership, AirReps successfully joined the global Daikin family while staying true to our core values and maintaining the personalized service our customers trust.

The momentum didn’t stop there. In the final five years of his tenure, Hawkins continued to drive exponential growth, championing acquisitions such as Integrated Systems and InControl. His ability to strengthen our offerings while maintaining a cohesive and people-centered culture is a testament to his exceptional leadership.

While Hawkins leaves behind many measurable achievements, what truly set him apart was his impact on our people. He balanced big-picture vision with genuine care for the team, ensuring AirReps stayed rooted in our family-first culture, strong work ethic, and commitment to work/life balance.

Although we will greatly miss seeing Hawkins in the office each day, we are grateful for the leadership and dedication he has shown throughout his career. After more than a year of thoughtful transition, he has placed the company in the capable hands of our President, Billy Kodosky, reflecting his commitment to the AirReps family to the very end. We wish him the best on this well-deserved retirement.

Please join us in congratulating Mike on his well-earned retirement and in celebrating the legacy he leaves behind. His contributions will continue to shape AirReps for many years to come.
